David's Reflections

Everyday, we encounter the Good News crossing many boundaries. I invite the readers to explore with me the many nuances of cross cultural experience and the multi-colored dimensions of the Gospel touching lives and moving people to discover God's love and healing in fresh ways. Whether in Taiwan or Midwest America, or traveling in Southeast Asia or Japan, join me in seeing God's work in this world through this blog and its many personal reflections.

About the Books I Read

Whenever someone comes to my office and sees all the books on the shelf and asks me, "Did you read all of these?" I always respond with a little witty answer I learned from a friend: "Some of them I read twice."

I read because I want to learn. Some books, even though they are very technical and hard to read, I still read them because they are helpful to me. They inform me and make me a better exegete of Scriptures and world culture. Other books I read for the fun of it. This kind of books are mostly autobiography and historical fiction. Still a few of them I read because they inspire me and challenge me to seek God's presence in this life. Informative, Entertaining, and Inspirational. Some day there will be no more need for books. On that day, Jesus will be beside me all the time and He will inform me, inspire me, and even entertain me for all eternity. Until then, I will always read books.
